I'm like you. No, I don't know Patrick Moore (I do know Jim Al-Khalili who does BBC4 science/maths stuff and have had a few conversations with the aforementioned Dr Him from D:Ream what talks about space on't'elly without being patronising). I want to know everything. In fact no, knowing everything would be easy, I want to know new stuff so that people like us in the future have more cool stuff to know!
People are willing to pay me (all be it a pittance) to do that, so I'm going to! My current trouble is that in my desire to know everything, in the middle of my research on nuclear medicine, I appear to have also signed up for several OU short courses.
If you get to a point where you want to start reading academic papers that require a subscription, give me a shout and I shall try and yoink them for you. Thankfully though, more and more of them are being made available for free these days. Lots of love Patrick
